Travel has always been where I feel most inspired. While many people travel to see famous landmarks, I'm usually drawn to the quieter details—a neighborhood record shop, afternoon light on a building, a handwritten menu, an interesting window, or the everyday moments that give a place its character.
I've spent decades making photographs, beginning with graduate studies in painting and photography at Pratt Institute in New York. Today, I photograph almost exclusively with my iPhone because it's always with me, allowing me to capture the moments that catch my eye as they happen.
The Roaming Report grew out of that way of seeing. Every recommendation comes from firsthand experience, conversations with locals, and time spent exploring neighborhoods rather than simply checking off the sights.
My hope is that these photographs, stories, recommendations, and travel maps inspire you to set aside the time, take the trip, and discover how much there is to learn from the world around us.
